General
- What is Holipore and what does it do?
- Holipore is an editorial and technical support service for students, master's candidates, and doctoral researchers preparing academic papers. We handle typesetting, proofreading, institutional formatting, bibliography structuring, and methodology consulting — everything related to the form and coherence of the document, not the intellectual substance. We are not a copywriting agency and we do not produce content on your behalf. Our role is to help the work you have already done look and be presented to the standard that evaluation committees expect. Think of us as a technical editorial service, not a writing service.
- What does Holipore not do?
- Holipore does not produce academic content on your behalf. There is no engagement in which we draft chapters, build arguments, or construct analysis in your name. This is not an arbitrary limitation — it is a line we hold consistently, both for legal reasons and out of respect for the genuine value of your degree. Concretely, we do not offer: academic text drafting, argument construction, formulation of original conclusions, masked paraphrasing of sources, or any other form of intellectual contribution that belongs to you by definition. If you need support for thinking through ideas, structuring your reasoning, or understanding methodology, our consulting stops at guided questions, not ready-made answers.
- Who uses Holipore's services?
- Most of our clients are final-year students, master's candidates, and doctoral researchers who have finished — or nearly finished — their own research and writing, but are facing difficulties with the technical side: formatting to the institution's guide, the citation style required by the faculty, typesetting, bibliography consistency, or a final proofread. We also work with professionals preparing reports, articles for specialist publications, or documentation for funded projects — situations where rigorous formatting matters as much as it does in academia. There is no single profile for a Holipore client; there is, however, one thing in common: the author has done the intellectual work and wants the final document to be worthy of it.
- Who is behind Holipore?
- The Holipore team consists of specialists with experience in academic publishing, professional typesetting, and text proofreading. Every team member knows the requirements of Romanian and international academic formats and works with close attention to detail — whether your document needs to meet the standards of a university in Cluj, Bucharest, or an ISI-indexed journal. We prefer to let the quality of the work speak for itself rather than listing individual CVs. We do not promote individual team members in public communication — your contact with Holipore is always with the team as a whole, which means continuity and collective accountability for every project.
Pricing
- How is the price of a Holipore service calculated?
- Pricing is based on several parameters: the type of service requested (typesetting, proofreading, bibliography formatting, combinations), the document volume in pages or words, the required citation style (some formats — APA, Vancouver, IEEE — involve more technical work than others), and the delivery timeline. We do not publish fixed public rates because every document comes with its own complexity. We provide an estimate after reviewing a few pages of the material and understanding exactly what the request involves. Generally, a project of moderate complexity with a standard 3–5 day timeline costs significantly less than one delivered in 24 hours with complex formatting.
- What can cause the price to increase beyond the initial estimate?
- A few factors directly affect the final cost. Urgency is the main one: requests with a deadline under 24–48 hours carry a 30–50% surcharge on the standard rate, regardless of complexity. This is not a penalty — it reflects reallocation of team resources and work outside normal hours. Unexpected complexity also matters: if a document submitted for typesetting has major structural inconsistencies requiring additional work beyond what was initially discussed, we revise the estimate before proceeding. We do not add costs without prior notice. Changes to requirements mid-project — switching citation style or adding new sections — can also generate price adjustments.
- What are the payment terms and how does invoicing work?
- We work with a deposit of 30–50% on order confirmation, with the remainder due on delivery of the final document. The deposit confirms the project is allocated in the team's schedule and covers the initial analysis and setup work. Payment is made by bank transfer or other methods agreed at the first discussion. We issue a tax invoice for all services — specify the type of accounting document you need (simple invoice or invoice with itemised VAT) and we will prepare it accordingly. We do not require full payment in advance for standard projects; for urgent requests or very small volumes, the full amount may be requested upfront, in which case you will be told explicitly before confirming the order.
Process
- How long does typesetting a thesis take?
- On average, 2–5 business days for a standard paper of 50–80 pages. The timeline depends on the citation style required, how much formatting the author has already done (a nearly formatted document turns around faster than one starting from scratch), and current team capacity. Rush requests with a deadline under 24 hours carry a 30–50% surcharge, but quality is unchanged — we do not trade accuracy for speed.
- How does the process work from first contact to delivery?
- Everything starts with a message on WhatsApp or through the contact form: you briefly describe the type of document, the approximate page count, and your deadline. The Holipore team responds within a few hours with any clarifying questions and a preliminary estimate. If the estimate works for you, you send the document (or a partial draft) and we confirm in detail exactly what will be worked on. You pay the deposit, and we begin production. Throughout the process you can follow progress and ask questions — your document does not disappear into a black box. At the end you receive the processed file, with two included revision rounds available for minor corrections, after which the project is closed.
- How many revision rounds are included and what do they cover?
- Every project includes two revision rounds at no additional cost. A revision round means you send a list of observations or the file with comments, we process them, and return the corrected document. Revisions cover corrections that fall within the scope of the service originally ordered — for example, a missed formatting error or a citation with the wrong structure. What is not covered in the included revisions: content changes you make after delivery, switching to a different citation style from the one agreed upon, or adding new sections. These are treated as additions to the original project and estimated separately. If you are unsure whether something qualifies, ask before delivery — we prefer clarity to disagreements after the fact.
Legal
- What does Holipore NOT do — the legal limits of the services offered?
- Holipore does not write academic papers on behalf of their authors, does not draft chapters, does not formulate arguments, and does not produce any text intended to be presented as the student's own original work. This limit exists because the law explicitly requires it. Law no. 199/2023 on academic integrity in Romania criminalises both the provision and the use of academic papers produced by third parties for the purpose of deceiving the educational process. In plain terms: submitting a paper you did not write is a criminal offence. We have no interest in being part of a process that ultimately harms you — compromising your degree, jeopardising your career, and erasing years of genuine effort. The editorial support we provide is legitimate precisely because it does not replace your intellectual work.
- How are my documents and personal data protected?
- Documents submitted to Holipore are treated with the same level of discretion you would expect from any professional collaborator. We do not share, publish, or use your documents for any purpose other than the service you engaged us for. Only the team members working on your project have access to the files. We retain delivered documents for 30 days after project completion — during which you can request copies or clarifications. After that period, files are deleted from our systems. If you need deletion to happen sooner, let us know explicitly and we will act on it immediately after delivery. We do not collect more personal data than is strictly necessary for invoicing and communication.
Formats and standards
- What citation styles and file formats does Holipore support?
- We work with all citation styles commonly used in Romanian universities and international publications: **APA** (7th edition), **IEEE**, **Chicago** (author-date and notes-bibliography), **Harvard**, **MLA** (9th edition), and **Vancouver**. If your institution has its own citation guide or an adapted variant of one of the above, send us the document and we will follow it. On the software side, we typeset in **Microsoft Word** (DOCX), **LaTeX**, and, for more elaborate editorial design projects, **Adobe InDesign**. We deliver in the format you need: editable DOCX, PDF for submission, or LaTeX/InDesign source files if you want to retain full control. Specify your preferred format from the start to avoid later conversions.
- In what format do I receive the document after processing?
- The default delivery format is DOCX — you receive an editable file that you can open in any recent version of Word or LibreOffice, make final adjustments, and export to PDF yourself before submission. If you need a PDF directly from us — with correct font embedding and resolution settings for printing or electronic submission — we include it at no extra charge. For LaTeX projects we deliver the `.tex` source files together with the directory structure and packages used, so you can compile independently when needed. If the document also requires output for professional print production (InDesign), we discuss the export format from the start. We never deliver only a PDF without an editable source file, unless you explicitly specify that you do not want the sources.
