This page explains in plain language what personal data Holipore collects when you interact with our website, how we use it, and what rights you have. The document complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Romanian Law 190/2018.
Who we are
Holipore is a Romanian team offering typesetting, proofreading, methodology consulting, statistical analysis, plagiarism checks, and document design. For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to vlad@holipore.com.
What data we collect
When you fill in a form on holipore.com or contact us via email or WhatsApp, we may collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (if you choose to contact us via WhatsApp or phone)
- Project details you write in the form or message
- Files you choose to send us (e.g., the document you'd like us to typeset)
How we use this data
- To respond to your request and deliver the services you ask for
- To send you confirmations and project updates
- To issue invoices and meet Romanian tax-record requirements
- To improve our services via aggregate analysis (no individual identification)
We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep data
- Unconverted leads (you contacted us but the engagement didn't start): 12 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Active clients: for the duration of the engagement plus 5 years after (Romanian invoicing requirement).
- Uploaded files: kept during the work plus 30 days after delivery, then automatically deleted from our systems. If you want them deleted sooner or kept longer, tell us.
Third-party services we use
- Cloudflare Pages (site hosting) — Cloudflare processes HTTP requests. Cloudflare's policy.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — collects aggregate traffic metrics (no cookies, no individual identification).
- Resend (transactional email) — receives form data so it can deliver our notifications. Resend's policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, the conversation is governed by Meta's policy. We don't control that channel.
- Cloudflare R2 (file storage) — files you upload via forms are stored encrypted on R2.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Romanian Law 190/2018, you have the right to:
- Find out what data we hold about you (right of access)
- Correct inaccurate data (right to rectification)
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing
- Receive your data in a portable format (right to portability)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP)
To exercise any of these rights, write to vlad@holipore.com with your name and what you'd like to do. We respond within 30 days at most (usually much faster).
Cookies and similar technologies
Holipore.com doesn't use tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we use for traffic metrics, runs without cookies. Your browser may temporarily cache static files (CSS, fonts) for performance — these aren't tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above. For significant changes, we'll notify you directly if we have a way to contact you.
